Pick-Up Massachusetts was established by the alcohol beverages industry to improve the environment by organizing community trash pick ups in cities and towns across the state. “Pick Up Massachusetts” is far more than an effective anti-litter campaign because it is action focused. Led by the alcohol beverages industry, MASSPACK and retails stores, Pick-Up Massachusetts encourages citizens not to litter, while also sponsoring and organizing community trash pickup events throughout Massachusetts. Over a hundred community pick ups have been organized and produced by participating MASSPACK member stores. The “Great Revere Clean Up,” the “Worcester Clean Up,” the “Salem Summer Sweep” along with numerous clean ups in western MA, the Cape and in Cambridge were all part of the “Pick Up Massachusetts” effort to remove litter.
